(..our agents make money investing...)
Korns Associates is a privately held applied research company that develops sophisticated agent technology, development tools, and applications. It was founded in June 1993, and has pioneered the use of "intelligent agents" for securities investing using a business model wherein its research is self-funding. In 1999 Korns Associates created Investment Science Corp to support, incubate, and sell commercial applications of the Korns Associates technology. Korns Associates has pioneered the development of Agent Information Serverô, an integrated knowledge management tool. Korns Associates principal research interest lies in the application of "intelligent agents" to automating mutual-fund-style securities investing. In a traditional mutual fund business, a staff of human traders are continuously evaluated based on their one year, three year, five year, and ten year performance histories. Starting in 1993, using the Agent Information Server/Agent Information Server technology as a base, we began development of the Deep Green application. Deep Green is designed as an automated "survival of the fittest" environment wherein all software trader agents are continuously evaluated based on their one year, three year, five year, and ten year performance histories. The best performing software trader agents receive an increasing share of Deep Green's stock ranking process. Deep Green allows the top "surviving" software trader agents to participate in publishing the final Deep Green weekly Alerts report.
Beginning in 1994 with its initial StockWizard investing agent, Deep Green has increased significantly in size and scope as the following history demonstrates.
By November of 2004, the Deep Green application was running extended machine learning 24 by 7, on multiple distributed servers, sharing information across the Internet and our Intranet with the total number of software trader agents historical database exceeding 21 million. Deep Green currently adds in excess of 21 thousand new software trader agents per week to its traders database.
Korns Associates business model is applied research powered by proprietary investing profits. As an applied research group, Korns Associates searches the academic community looking for new Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies which might be applied to securities investing. Promising new technologies are implemented in Deep Green as investing agents which will compete for stock market profits in the virtual "survival of the fittest" environment. At each stage of its development, Deep Green is used to rank securities as investment selections in the Korns Associates Real Money Balanced Investing Account. Profits from this proprietary investing activity are used to fund futher Deep Green application development.
In 1999 Korns Associates created a separate firm Investment Science Corp to support, incubate, and sell commercial applications of the Agent Information Serverô technology. A management team was selected, and in February 2000 a venture capital partner joined us in supporting Investment Science Corp. Investment Science Corp is the exclusive commmercial representative for Korns Associates technology.
Agent oriented technology is being used at an ever increasing rate. Principally, agents are an effective way of distributing flexible artificial intelligence to existing applications on Corporate Intranets and the Internet. Here are some interesting Agent Oriented Links:
