Description

The following code sample shows how to use makeStructure function to construct a structure from Vector data.

 

Details

A Vector is defined.

(define SecondQtrSales #("Apr" 3500 "May" 3800 "Jun" 4400)) Returns: #<Vector 123456>

A Structure is defined.

(setq Sales (new Structure:)) Returns: #<Structure 123456>

The code loops on the Vector values and sets them into key-value pairs using the makeStructure function. The code returns the number of values inside the Vector processed.

(loop for i from 0 until (length SecondQtrSales) by 2 do
(setq j (add1 i))
(setq Sales (append Sales (makeStructure SecondQtrSales[i] SecondQtrSales[j])))) 		Returns: 6

The Structure Sales now contains the contents of the Vector SecondQtrSales.

(display Sales) Returns: #{Apr: 3500 May: 3800 Jun: 4400}true
