Overview

The now function returns the current Julian date-time value based on the computer's system date. The Julian date value represents the elapsed time in the period starting from 12:00:01 AM January 1, 0AD to the current date and time in the system. The time portion of each complete day is represented by a decimal fraction appended to the Julian date value.

Usage

The now function provides the current time and date from the computer's clock. There are no arguments to this function.
