Overview

The range function computes the difference between the smallest and largest elements found in the argument list. The list can contain Numbers, Cell references, or a Range of cells.

Usage

The range function computes the distance between the smallest and largest elements found in the argument list

 

Syntax

Expression:

(range num1 num2 ...)

Arguments Name Type Description
Argument:num1 num2 ...Number Any Number of values

Returns:

Computes and returns the difference between the smallest and largest elements found in the argument list. If the range function cannot find any Analytic Information Server object that evaluates to a number, it returns 0.
