stringCiLT

 

 

Overview

The stringCiLT function performs a case-insensitive comparison between the two strings {string1} and {string2}. If {string1} is lesser than {string2}, true is returned; otherwise, false is returned.

Usage

Use the stringCiLT function when you wish to have a case-insensitive comparison of two Strings and determine if the first String is lesser than the second String. The result is expressed as a Boolean value (true or false).

 

Syntax

Expression:

(stringCiGT string1 string2)

(stringCiGT text1 text2)

Arguments Name Type Description
Argument:string1String or Text The first String or Text to be compared
Argument:string2String or Text The second String or Text to be compared

Returns:

Returns true if the first String is lesser than the second String and false if the first String is greater or equal in value than the second String.
