Description

This example shows how friend Lambdas can be defined in separate source files from their parent. For instance, the following two separate forms create a parent Lambda and a friend Lambda within the parent.

The following two separate forms create a parent Lambda and a friend Lambda within the parent.

(defun foo(x) pvars:(y) (setq y x)) Returns: #<Lambda 123456 >
(defriend foo:sum(x) pvars:(d) (setq d 20) (+ x d y)) Returns: #<Lambda 234567>

We can invoke the friend Lambda with the following reference:

(foo 10) Returns: 10
(foo.sum 3) Returns: 28
(= foo.Pv foo.sum.Cv) Returns: true
(= foo.Pv foo.sum.Pv) Returns: false

Notes and Hints

A friend Lambda has a different pvars structure than its parent Lambda, but the cvars structure of a friend Lambda is the pvars structure of its parent Lambda. A Child Lambda DOES share the same pvars and cvars structures as its parent Lambda.
