Description

These examples return the second component of the date argument using the different date formats.

 

Details

(second #Aug,1,1996:12:25:05) Returns: 5
(second "1:30:00 PM") Returns: 0
(second "23:30:59") Returns: 59

This example uses the Julian Date format.

(julian #Dec,25,1995:01:18:40) Returns: 729016.0546296
(second 729016.0546296) Returns: 39

Notes and Hints

The to convert a Julian date to an ASCII Date object, use the string function passing it a date object as an argument.
